A failed installation of Adobe Flash Player may occur because Flash Player is already installed or because of conflicting open programs. Incomplete download and installation of the Flash installer program can also cause a computer to be unable to install Flash Player. Oct 27, 2014 Hi Jeff! I can't download the new flash player. I opened an Adobe account under robertlchasejr back around 2001 but don't remember the password. When i try to reset I don't get the email. I don't know what original email was.

Save the unistall progam to your desktop and close all programs.
*Be sure to close all messenger programs as well as the browser before running the uninstall program.

Just copy and paste it to your Internet Explorer browser. Next, click on Windows 7/ Vista/XP/2008/2003/2000. Then circle the 'Flash Player 10 for Windows - Other Broswers'. Run and install. Hopefully when you go into Google Chrome or Firefox this works for you, thank you for reading.
Things you could have done wrong -
1. You didn't use Internet Explorer
2. Didn't close EVERY other window.
Can' T Download Adobe Flash Player Windows 10
Here are the steps I now use with 100% success.(12 times out of 12)
Run regedit
Search the registry(CTRL F) for flash (put a space after the word flash)
The first key it finds, try and delete and you will find it does not allow you to.
Which is why the install fails because it cant overwrite the key.
Right click the key and click on permissions.
Select either the everyone logon or domain users if you are on a network and give them full permisions. Click advanced select the box for replace permission entries and apply.
You should now be able to delete the key.
Press F3 to search again and repeat the above for the second key found.
Flash will now install.
i've successfully installed the program but everytime I go to watch a movies it says they I haven't downloaded it??
what do I do??
I submitted a trouble ticket to Adobe and got a quick response. They had me do the following:
In Internet Explorer 8 click on Tools then Internet options then the Advanced tab then choose 'Reset Internet Explorer settings'.
Download and run install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe from Adobe
Navigate to C:WindowsSystem32MacromedFlash (may be a different path if you're on the 64-bit version)
Right-click FlashUtil10d.exe (you might have a different version), click the Compatibility tab and select 'Run as Administrator.' Click OK and run the program.
That did it. The difference must have been the first step - resetting IE. I had tried all the other steps repeatedly.
1. System wil not allow us to delete the Macromad folder from C:WINDOWSsystem32Macromed.
So,Disable Add ons. refer above few solutions. instead delete the flash folder in Macromad.
2. Install the Adobe, if u di not have adobe version, u can download it from www.downloads.com
Hope it works for u too..Best of Luck

All I did was uninstall firefox, than opened up IE and downloaded adobe flash player 10 (for IE). Installed fine, videos work. Then I renistalled firefox, didn't need to download flash player again. Everything working fine straight away. So might want to try that. Hope it helps.
While Flash may have fallen by the wayside for many in favor of newer technologies like HTML5, much of the web still relies on the old plug-in to display content to users. Though macOS no longer comes with Flash installed by default, you can still download and install it if you need to. If you have Flash on your Mac, you might be wondering how to go about updating the plug-in, especially if you've decided not to allow Flash to update itself.
